Another successful 8 week challenge comes to an end. We started the challenge earlier in September with over 160 participants taking part in round two of the Blackwood Fitness 8 Week Challenge for 2017. We witnessed some amazing results achieved amongst the participants.
As with previous challenges, the participants are pushed into achieving a ‘lifestyle’ change, we use our inBody Scanner to measure the body fat mass loss and the % of body fat lost over the 8 weeks rather than focusing on the reduction of kilograms on the scales alone.
It was an extremely close race with 2 stand-out challengers competing for the main prize for the best lifestyle transformation. It was an outstanding achievement by Neil Ambler who lost 20.4Kg, a total of 11.6% of Body Fat Lost, but it was Naomi Nwayco who took out the main prize with a total of 9.4% Loss in Body Fat and a gain of 6.1% in Muscle Mass during the 8 weeks.

A trend that was noticed in those who gained muscle during the challenge not only attended most of the challenge workouts but worked outside of these sessions with a personal trainer. Personal Trainers can introduce strength workouts under supervision and to push the individual to achieve better results. So please consider using a personal trainer if you are considering the next challenge.
