If you love doing Yoga at Blackwood Fitness then you’ve probably already done a class with Danni! She has been instructing for 9 months at Blackwood and has a real love for helping others learn the art of Yoga. We sat down with her (and her beautiful little boy and girl twins) to find out a few interesting facts about herself!
What got you interested in becoming a group fitness instructor?
Whenever I practised yoga, I would finish a class with so much admiration & gratitude for the practise & stillness my teacher had guided me through, and I knew that I wanted to have the skills to help others find space & stillness within their own practise
How long have you been instructing?
I’ve been instructing for almost 9 months
What else do you do when you’re not leading fitness classes?
I’m a Visual Merchandiser for Boardriders in SA/ WA/ TAS (which means lots of travel), I’m a mum of 3, a wife, & a self-confessed social butterfly!
Advice or tips to get the most out of your classes?
Advice for getting the most of out my class?? Don’t place expectations on yourself about how you’ll go in a class- every time you come to a class your body will feel different, & you’ll have different capabilities. Listen to your body throughout the class- there’s no shame in coming down to a child’s pose if that’s what your body needs- that the ultimate sign of being in your present moment!
Any other interesting facts about yourself?
interesting facts- I’m super claustrophobic, you’ll never get me in a cave! I’ve been a vegetarian since I was 13, and I usually dream my friends are pregnant before they tell me they are!
