What got you interested in becoming a group fitness instructor?
It all happened 20 years ago! I was working in pubs and restaurants to pay my way through uni. I decided to train to become an instructor to earn some extra money. Little did I know that it would become something that would provide me not just a great income but great friends and passion for health and fitness which I will have for the rest of my life.
How long have you been instructing?
This year it will be 20 years! Eeekkk!!! What’s your favourite class to teach and why? I love all my classes for different reasons but my all time favorite is Body Attack. It is such a great work out and the music is always so motivating!

What else do you do when you’re not leading fitness classes?
I have 3 children which keep me very busy (and broke) and I work for the Dept for Environment and Water – Heritage South Australia – using my architecture qualifications. I also present at fitness conventions, write on line fitness courses and articles.
Advice or tips to get the most out of your classes?
Work as hard as you can but stay safe. use options as you need but try to push a little bit harder each time. That’s how you get results.
Any other interesting facts about yourself?
I love sleeping – 10 hours a night is about right. My favorite past time vegging out on the couch with a glass of wine.
