Blackwood Fitness’s Stronger 4 Longer promotes health and well-being through a strength training program run by accredited fitness professionals. The training workout aims to increase access to strength training programs for people 50 years and over, or people who need a bit more support when working out in a gym environment.

ABOUT THE STRONGER 4 LONGER PROGRAM

How do I join Stronger For Longer?

Its as easy as 1, 2, 3

Step 1. Fill out  an enrollment form (these can be obtained from the gym or on line)

Step 2. Get your doctor to complete the Allied Health referral form

Step 3. Make an appointment to have your Stronger For Longer induction – this costs $30 and is payable at the time of making the appointment. Your induction is undertaken one-on-one with one of our Stronger For Longer trainers who are fully qualified fitness professionals. At the end of your induction you will have a gym program which is tailored specifically to your individual needs and will be designed to ensure you will reach your own special goals.

Session Format

Once you have completed your Induction you can join the group Stronger For Longer sessions.  These include:

  1. A warm up in the CV room
  2. A session in the gym, doing the program your trainer designed for you in your induction
  3. A group session which may include some aerobics, stretching and balance training
  4. A coffee and chat with your new friends.
